Our Approach
Step 1 - Initial Consultation
The initial consultation is conducted with FMS to discuss details of proposed autopsy case. This covers a brief discussion of the clinical and medical history leading up to the decedents passing, financials, location and date the autopsy will be performed.
Step 2- Schedule Autopsy
The Autopsy Examination will be performed in an extremely timely manner at FMS, Main Hopital. The examination can take up to 2-3 hours to complete.
Step 3-Â Initial Report-Final report
After the autopsy is complete, FMS will host a phone conference to discuss the preliminary finding in most cases; the preliminary findings typically do not change from the final autopsy report. A formal preliminary autopsy report will be emailed or mailed in 24-72hours after completion of the autopsy. The final report is established after all testing and microscopic tissue samples are finalized. This process is typically completed within 4-6 weeks. A final report will be mailed to the family.
